Introducing the first Get Sad Y'all Artist Spotlight!

We'll be doing these every week, typically on Fridays, to showcase artists from around NC and beyond. If you'd like to have your band featured in an upcoming spotlight, shoot us an email.

First up, we chatted with Jesse Puchalski of The Bronze Age.

Who are you?

The Bronze Age is a Rock and Roll band based in Raleigh, NC.

Where did your band name come from?

It was an idea one of the original members of the band had in mind for a while. The name stuck and we’ve been rolling with it ever since.

Who do you think your band sounds like?

If we had to take a guess, it would be a mix of Thrice and Anberlin with maybe a touch of early Foo Fighters.

What are the plans for the band over the next year?

We are recording a full length LP for an early 2020 release, along with touring, a couple more music videos, and maybe a few more surprises here and there.

Pick one song in your catalog that everyone should check out.

Our new single "Don’t Worry, It Only Hurts For a Second" is releasing soon. It’s definitely one of our favorites and really represents The Bronze Age.

Anything else to add?

The Bronze Age is really excited for 2020. We’re stoked to get on stage and play all of our new songs coming out early next year. With new merch, videos, and tour dates, this coming year will be one for the books, fo sho.
